Janice Kay (Boman) Moore, 79, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Janice loved to do crafts, work in her yard, and kept up with the latest movies. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her cats, Lucy and Sophie.
She was born on November 17, 1939 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Chester and Catherine (Jenkins) Boman. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Stephen K. Waltz, son-in-law, David L. Phelps, and siblings, Donna R. Case, Chester W. Boman, and James W. Boman.
Janice is survived by her loving children, Karen A. Waltz-Phelps, Scott A. (Sharon) Waltz, and Donnie D. Moore; sister, Vicki L. (Buddy) Hunt; granddaughters, Tiffany Farnsley and Janet (Josh) Elmore, and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 PM to 6 PM on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be at 6 PM on Thursday, at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
The family requests that contributions in Janice's memory be made to American Heart Association and the New Albany-Floyd Co. Animal Shelter (215 West Market Street, New Albany, IN 47150).
