Janet Diane Walsh

Janet Diane Walsh, 55, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Janet was a graduate of Floyd Central High School and went on to earn her Masters in Nursing. She was an intelligent, beautiful, caring, and fun-loving soul who had a great sense of humor and a love for Jesus Christ. Janet enjoyed art, crafting, gardening, music, nature, and animals. Out of all her pastimes, her favorite was spoiling her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews who she loved as her own. Janet will be remembered for having an eye for all things beautiful, her attention to detail, and the love and compassion to care for others.

She was born on August 2, 1966, in Newport News, Virginia, to the late Flora (Serrano) and John W. Walsh, Sr.

Janet is survived by her loving brother, John W. (Brenda ) Walsh, Jr.; nephews and nieces, John W. Walsh III, Casey (Dennis) Smith, Alexis Walsh, and Luke Walsh; great-niece, Hadley Walsh; great-nephew, Grayson Smith; and many cousins, extended family members, friends, and co-workers.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Janet's wishes. She will be laid to rest during a private service in the Edwardsville-Tunnel Hill Cemetery at a later date.
