Janet South

Janet Lynn South passed away October 11, 2024 at the age of 66. Janet spent her final days with family and dear friends and passed away peacefully at Norton Healthcare Pavilion. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William A. South and Roberta Lee South. Janet was a graduate of Waggener High School, class of 1976.

After a lifelong career in the restaurant industry, Janet went on to become the primary caregiver for her parents in their final years. Her love and dedication to her family and friends was second to none. Janet always placed others before herself and she will be deeply missed.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Bobbie South and nephew, Brian South.

Janet is survived by her siblings, Mike (Donna) South, Karen South, Rob (Gina) South and Neal (Delores) South; nephews and nieces Andy South, Johanna South (Nicole), Chris Wright, Miles South (Gracie), Caroline South Schiller (Mitch), and Kelli South.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hosparus Louisville for their caring support and special thanks to Cassy and Pam for their devoted support for Janet in her final days.

A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at a later date.
