Janet Schetler, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on December 13, 2016. She loved to be on Facebook and loved her dog, Sydney. Janet had a great sense of humor. She was a retired LPN of 30 years and loved to put others before herself.

Janet was born on June 4, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Michael Sheehan and Ann (Hurley) Gahafer. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Schetler; step-dad, Ray Gahafer; and brother, Terry Gahafer.

Janet is survived by her children, Brian Yates (Ada), Beth Groce (Lonnie), Brittnee Yates; brothers, Ronnie Sheehan (Doris) and Donnie Sheehan (Sandy); twin sister, Joyce Mialback (Larry); grandchildren, Lindsey Yates (Nathan) and Isabella Hammond; great-grandchild, Ryan Curtis; 8 step- brothers and step-sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40272). Her Memorial Service will follow visitation on Sunday at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Shamrock Foundation.
