Janet L. McKinley, 62, of New Albany passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012.
Janet was born on June 2, 1949 in New Albany to Rebecca J. (Porter) McKinley and the late Anthony G. McKinley.
In addition to her mother, Janet is survived by her sons, Michael A. Curtis (Aimee) of Houston, Texas, and David S. Curtis (Julia) of Burlington, Kentucky; sister, Cheryl McKinley of Lanesville, Indiana; brothers, Michael McKinley (Mary) of Sellersburg, Indiana, Timothy McKinley of Orem, Utah, Anthony McKinley of New Albany, and Robert McKinley of Sellersburg, Indiana; husband, Lawrence Phipps of New Albany; and grandchildren, Alexa, Kayla, and Zachary.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church in Sellersburg followed by entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Cremation was chosen. Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Albany/Floyd County Animal Shelter (215 West Market Street, New Albany 47150).
