Janet Kay (Tankersley) Lynn

Janet Kay (Tankersley) Lynn, 52, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016. Janet was an avid Bingo player and loved races at the Sportsdrome Speedway in Clarksville where she worked for over 30 years. She also worked at Smokey's Discount Tobacco for over 15 years.

She was born on September 23, 1964, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Herbert and Christine (Dunn) Tankersley. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Tim Tankersley.

Janet is survived by her husband of 33 years, Dennis Lynn, Sr.; children, Dennis Lynn, Jr. (Leann), Dwayne Lynn, and Denise Clark (Jonathan); siblings, Karen Socha (Marion), Gloria Stone, Jeff Tankersley, Herb Tankersley, and Tracy Tankersley (Dwayne); grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jenna, Jordan, and Jaxson; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden, Indiana.
