Jane K Messex

Jane K. Messex, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on January 26, 2017. She retired from Weyerheuser Company and Continental Insurance. She was an active member of Parents Without Partners and a former member of Deer Park Baptist Church.
Jane was born on May 17, 1939 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Jewell and Olivia (Smith) Kirkwood. She was also preceded in death by her brothers John and Walter Kirkwood.
Jane is survived by her twin sister, Jean O. Merideth, son, Michael (Elisa) Messex, grandchildren Ryan (Kara), Jarrod, and Brandon Messex. She is also survived by a great granddaughter Alayna, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her cat Lacey.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville 40243).
Her funeral ceremony will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Kentucky Humane Society.
