Jane Rose (Schuppert) Mathews, 88, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018, in New Albany, Indiana. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Floyds Knobs.
She was born on February 6, 1930, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Adolph and Ida Mae (Hunter) Schuppert. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Halleck Mathews; and her brother, William Schuppert.
Jane is survived by her children, Halleck Mathews III (Diana), Anne Copeland, Timothy Mathews (Theresa), and Martin Mathews (Susan); 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Gathering will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Jane's wishes.
