Jane Elizabeth (Scott) Libs

Jane Elizabeth (Scott) Libs, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on March 2, 1933, in Russellville, Arkansas, Jane was the daughter of Grady and Virginia (Kinslow) Scott.

Jane proudly attended Texas Tech University, she dedicated herself to her community as a school bus driver for the New Albany Floyd County School Corporation. Jane's deep faith was reflected in her membership at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, where she found a sense of belonging and community.

Jane loved spending quality time with her family, fishing, cooking, and playing cards. Her vibrant spirit and kind nature profoundly impacted the lives of her family and friends. She derived immense joy from gathering with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend of 69 years, Irvin Martin Libs, her daughter, Rochelle Marie Harbison along with her parents, Grady and Virginia Scott. Jane will be deeply missed by her family, which includes her daughters, Teresa (Steve) Huber and Belinda (Rob) Dones, and her son-in-law, Roger C. Harbison, and brother Joe Bob Scott. Also mourning her loss are her cherished grandchildren: Derek (Michelle) Huber, Rachel (Jared) Davila, Randa Raymer, and Dylan (Kendra) Dones. Jane was also a proud great-grandmother to Vance and Banks Huber, Eloise, Rhodes, Florence, and Hudson Davila, Dash and Oakley Raymer, and Lennox Dones.

Visitation honoring Jane's life will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, located at 5719 St. Mary's Road, with a Mass commencing at 11:30 AM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Southern Care Hospice (811 Northgate Blvd, #101, New Albany, IN 47150).
