James G. Yeates

James G. Yeates, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on April 19, 2018.

Jim was born on February 22, 1937, Louisville, Kentucky to the late Selby & Helen (Hettiger) Yeates. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert and sister, Doris. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 33 years of service and was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Yeates; son, Kevin Yeates; daughter, Natalie (Mark) Comerford; daughter, Laura (Greg) Stubbs; 5 grandchildren, Sean, Katelyn, Shelby, Jarod & Kristin; 2 great grandchildren, Savannah & Adalyn; 3 nephews, Bruce, Dixon & Carson.

He was a very devoted loving husband and father who was always by our side during our most difficult times. He kept us encouraged in our Faith by being a strong Christian, who lead us by example. He was a humble man who honored God by quietly helping others.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). His Funeral Ceremony will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Parkwood Baptist Church with visitation two hours prior. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
