James William Walters, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Jewish Hospital. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 26, 1940 to the late James Rolf and Ruby Frances Walters. He was retired Boilermaker and a member of the Unitarian Church (Flaming Chalice).
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Elaine Walters; and two great-grandsons, Nathaniel and Christian Higginbottom.
He is survived by his children, Debra Blanton (John D. ), Nina Higginbottom (Cleston), James William Foster (Margaret Yates ) and Glenda Walters; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral Ceremony will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
