James William Watson, Jr.

James William "Butch" Watson, Jr., 72, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was an avid fan of the Indiana Hoosiers. Butch loved his family and was fond of each of his fur babies. He enjoyed playing video games and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving companion of over 30 years, Sharon Mayfield; son, James "Chris" Watson (Brittany Elmore); stepchildren, Tabitha Lynn Kitterman and Trent and Troy Mayfield; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jamen Watson; step-grandchildren, Taylor Kitterman, Jillian Kitterman, and Noah Mayfield; as well as numerous friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 4:00 p.m. Cremation will follow according to Butch's wishes.
