James Philip Walts, 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Philip was a loving dad, son, papaw, and friend. He graduated from Seneca High School and worked at the Powder Plant, American Standard, and Cissell Manufacturing. Philip was the youngest insured volunteer firefighter at the age of 15. He rode his bicycle to the firehouse never missing the truck. Philip enjoyed woodworking, photography, hunting, and fishing. Philip's memory will live on in those who knew and loved him.
He was born on May 18, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Amzel (Roberson) Walts. He is preceded in death by his mother, Amzel Walts, father, James R Walts, brother, Ronnie Walts.
Philip is survived by his loving daughters, Sonya (James) Combs, Crystal (David ) Walts-Paulin, Phylicia (Darren) Shackelford, grandchildren, Nick, Catrina, Jamie, Kasey, Jaxson, Luc, Addison, Griffin, Dustin, Bethani, twenty-one great-grandchildren, sister, Corine (Bob) Richmer, sister-in-law, Judy Walts, seven nieces and a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
The family requests that contributions in Philip's memory be made to the Crusade for Children.
