James B. "Pat" Vaughn, 81, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Pat was a member of Gospel Tabernacle in Jeffersonville and enjoyed mowing the grass and being outside.
He was born on February 8, 1937, in Burkesville, Kentucky, to the late John Vaughn and Lilly (Murray) Johnson. Along with his parents, Pat is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tonya C. Vaughn; 1 sister; and 2 brothers.
Pat is survived by his loving wife of almost 64 years, Myrtle A. Vaughn; children, James (Paula) Vaughn, Sr., Michael (Kay) Vaughn, Sr., Cheryl (Doug) DeWees, and Timothy Vaughn; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and brother, Garvin Reagan.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. Visitation will continue on Monday morning after 10:00 a.m. His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Gospel Tabernacle (2000 East 10th Street, Jeffersonville, IN 47130) with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
The family requests that contributions in Pat's memory be made to the American Lung Association (55 West Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601).
