James H Vannatta, 89, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. James enjoyed going on vacations. James loved reading the newspaper, working on cars, and playing cards. He was a hard working individual who always had plans and task to complete. James was a family man and loved telling stories of the years gone by. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on January 3, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Hazel (Oller) Vannatta. He is preceded in death by his Parents, and Sister, Margaret Brooks.

James is survived by his loving Wife of 66 years Nina "Juanita" Vannatta, Son, James E. (Teresa) Vannatta, Daughter, Linda (Ron) Goodman, Daughter, Barbara (Dale) Rhoades, Son, Robert (Jody) Vannatta, Son, Bill (Nancy) Vannatta, Son, Thomas (Donna) Vannatta, and Daughter, Mary (Robert) LaFever, Grandchildren, Jimmy, Stephanie, Joe, Timmy, Jamie, Wanda, Juanita, Julie, Brittany, Shawn and April. James also leaves behind to cherish his memory 17 Great Grandchildren, and a host of Friends and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.
