James Johnny Toatley

James Johnny Toatley, Jr., age 89 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Robley Rex VA Medical Center. Originally from Winnsboro, South Carolina, James was a career Army Veteran of the Korean War era. He also worked afterward in Civil Service in Ft. Knox as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilbur Toatley; his son, Daryl Toatley; and siblings, Edgar Toatley and Janie Pearl Calloway.

James is survived by his loving children, Pamela Unseld (Isaac) and Marcia Toatley; 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 10am-12pm on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, with a celebration of James' life at noon. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington.
