James Edward Thompson

James E. Thompson, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020. James was a hard working father and always provided for his family. He always loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed flea markets and yard sales. He retired from Greyhound bus lines after 20 plus years of service.

He was born on November 30, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to Reader and Stella Thompson. He is preceded in death by his father, Reader Thompson, mother, Stella Thompson, wife, Lillian Diane Thompson; brothers, Charlie Thompson, William Thompson, and Robert Thompson; son, Ronnie Lee Thompson; sisters, Margie Thacker and Geneva Haynes.

James is survived by his loving family son, Clarence Edward (Sharon) Thompson; grandchildren, Josh (Kat) Thompson, Kristia (Will) Wallis, Josh (Aisha) Wheeler, Jessica (Justin) Crump, and Seth Wheeler; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Abby, Carter, Jace, Jaxon, Koda, and Suzanne; brother, Johnny (Linda) Thompson, and sister, Louise Shireman. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory.
