James Martin Thomas, Sr., 61, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing golf and traveling. Above all of that, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was born on September 20, 1956, to the late Ralph R. and Florence (Humphrey) Thomas. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Thomas; and sister, Theresa Self.

James is survived by his loving wife, Lynette (Kinslow) Thomas; sons, James Thomas, Jr., Jeremy Thomas (Natalie), Jaden Thomas, Hayden Seelye and Keaton Seelye; grandchildren, Allistar and Jacey; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
