James Glen Tarrence, known to many as Jamie, passed away on September 26, 2026, just one day before his 46th birthday. He will be remembered for his outgoing nature, his heart of gold, and the way he could always put a smile on your face.
Jamie was a graduate of Pleasure Ridge Park High School. He worked for several years at Louisville Tin on the assembly line, where he was known as a dedicated and hard worker. That strong work ethic was one of the accomplishments that defined his life and the way he carried himself each day.
Jamie embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. He loved racing, motorcycles, and boating, and he liked living fast. He was also an avid UK fan, a passion that brought him enjoyment and connection with others over the years.
More than anything, Jamie will be remembered for the spirit he brought to those around him. His warmth, humor, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His memory will be cherished by all whose lives were brightened by his presence.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Laddie Tarrence and his grandparents, Norene and Glen Vincent.
Jamie leaves behind to cherish his memories are his children. Tristin, Desiray and Haven Tarrence; parents, Teresa and John Malick; brother, Jason (Marissa Newton) Tarrence; uncles, Troy (Jenny Clark) Tarrence, Steve Vincent and David Vincent; cousins. David Vincent, Jr. and Chris Marks numerous and friends.
A memorial gathering for Jamie will be Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 3pm-8pm.
