James "Bubba" Stockton, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Louisville, Kentucky, on June 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, love, and cherished memories. Born on June 14, 1981, Bubba shared a very special bond with his twin sister, celebrating their birthdays hand-in-hand with their aunt Trish each year. This connection not only symbolizes the ties that bind them but reflects the joyous spirit that Bubba carried throughout his life.
Bubba was a faithful and dependable worker at ABM Janitorial Services, known for his punctuality and commitment to excellence. His bubbly, outgoing personality shone brightly in every interaction, whether he was entertaining friends or engaging in spirited discussions about his favorite topics—University of Louisville sports, R&B music, basketball, and football. His lively discourse and genuine enthusiasm brought joy to those around him, making even the most mundane moments feel special.
Educated at Western High School, Bubba celebrated the milestones of life with the same fervor that he approached his career. He kept close ties to his family, remaining profoundly family-oriented and always finding time to nurture relationships with his extended family. He is survived by his loving mother Lenette (Robert) White, father James (Stacey) Looney, sister Jasmin Stockton, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who admired and adored him.
While he leaves behind an indelible mark on the lives of many, his heart still aches for those he has lost along the way. His late sister, Kisha Stockton, alongside grandmothers Yerva Spaulding and Gracie Stockton, and grandfathers James Earl Looney and Ernest Ray Stockton, now welcome him with open arms.
James "Bubba" Stockton embodies a spirit that will continue to inspire those left behind, ensuring that his love and memories will forever resonate in their hearts. A visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. on July 2, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, followed by a graveside service at Green Meadows Cemetery where family and friends will gather to share their stories and celebrate a life so vividly lived, full of laughter and unconditional love.
