James Allen "Whoomp" Sims, 66, of Clarksville, IN passed away on May 13, 2017.
Whoomp was born on February 10, 1951 in Louisville, KY. He is preceded in death by his mother, Alice (Sims) Sanders; brothers, Raymond Roberts & Charles R. Sanders; and sister, Martha F. Sanders.
He is survived by his children, Erica Sims, James A. Sims, Jr. & Jessie Sims; grandson, Jordan Sims; sisters, Bertha Henderson, Virginia Sanders, Cathy Stinson (Frank), and Helen Roberts; brother, Archie "Big Mike" Sanders; sister in law, Carol Sanders; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his special friend, Pamela Campbell.
A Graveside Service will take place at 11 AM on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Eastern Cemetery (726 Graham St, Jeffersonville, IN).
