James Scott, 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021. James enjoyed spending time building fast cars and was a car enthusiasts. He built several race cars over the years and was no stranger to fast cars. James passion was building engines and the faster the better. His evenings were spent watching "Street Outlaws", which was a show dedicated to street racing. James pride and joy and loved hanging out with his 13 year old Chihuahua "Tink". Together, James and Tink would frequent Arby's for their original roast beef sandwiches. James was a simple man but never met a stranger, he will be missed by all who knew him.
He was born on October 9, 1940 in Rocky Hill, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his Wife, Rose Scott, and Parents, Prentis & Mittie Scott.
James is survived by his Daughters, Janet Scott, and Theresa Ashton, Granddaughter whom was more like a Father, Stevie (Craig) Calvert, Granddaughter, Nicole Ashton, Great-Grandson, Preston Calvert, Sisters, Dorothy (Charles) Smith, and Loretta (Charlie) Sutton, Nephews, Danny Smith, and Charles Smith. James also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.
