James Madison Riley, 69, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025. A dedicated worker, Jim retired from Jeff Boat after over 40 years of employment and was a proud member of the Teamsters. He was a proud member of Masonic Lodge #416 in Greenville, where he had the honor of serving as the past Master. Jim was also a Kosair Shriner and had attended Grace Community Church in Sellersburg.
An avid motorcyclist, Jim shared his passion by serving as a ABATE instructor for Region 9, where he impacted the lives of many aspiring riders. He loved to travel, took great joy in caring for animals and always looked forward to growing a big garden.
Born on August 18, 1956, in Manchester, Kentucky, Jim was the son of the late Robert and Dora (Dezarn) Riley. He is survived by his wife, Angie Riley; his children, Shawn Riley (Susan) and Tracy Franklin (Jason); his grandchildren, Shelby Riley-Howell (Lukas), Brett Franklin (Levi Bennett), and Alyssa Goss (Nathan); and a great-granddaughter, Violet Howell.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in New Albany, located at 3309 Ballard Lane, and will continue on Wednesday starting at 10:00 a.m. Jim's funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest privately at Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Memphis.
Contributions in Jim's memory may be made to Norton Children's Hospital.
