James Edward Rainey, age 64 of Louisville, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017. He graduated from Westport High School, attended Eastern Kentucky University, Bellarmine University and the University of Chicago where he earned his Bachelor Degree. Traveling was his passion and he saw many parts of the world. He was a kind, thoughtful and loving son and brother.
James is survived by his loving parents, Wayne and Janet Brown Rainey; his brother, Mark S. Rainey; his aunt, Brenda Stipp (Joe); cousin, John N. Stipp; nieces and nephews, Melissa Faulkenberg (Dave) and Rodney Rainey (Leslie); several great-nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be private.
Memorials may be made to Kosair Children's Hospital or St. Jude's Hospital.
