James F. Powell Jr., 53, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 3, 1964
He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Powell, Sr., brothers, John Powell, Robbie Powell, Jamie Allen, and Jarred Allen; and one great-nephew, Michael B Smith, Jr. one brother-in-law Billy R. Smith Sr.
James is survived by his mother, Barbara S. Allen (Teddy), sisters, Brenda S. Smith, Brenda Mae Allen, and Jennifer Allen; daughter, Amanda Lucian (Robbie Owens), grandchildren, Megan Lucian and Jackson Lucian; nephews, Bo Bo Smith and Mikie Smith; great-nieces, Ayla Smith and Allie Smith Kaelyn Smith; his fur baby, Sassy Baby; and a host of other family members and friends who will greatly miss him.
A celebration of James' life will be at 1pm Monday, August 7, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel. Visitation will be from 3pm - 7pm on Sunday, August 6, 2017 also at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272.
Burial will follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
