James Andrew Phelps, 93, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.
James was born on December 20, 1920 in Butler County, Kentucky to the late George
Washington, and Rose (Brooks) Phelps. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Phelps; son, David L. Phelps; 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.
He is survived by his sons, Donald and Daniel Phelps (Stephanie); 4 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9AM to 2 PM Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). His Funeral Service will be held at 2PM on Saturday with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery in Georgetown.
