James Lonard Norton

James "Jim" Lonard Norton, age 91, of Louisville passed away on May 25th, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Edd Norton and Rhea Nottingham Norton; brothers, John L and W Joseph Norton; Jim and Choyia's mother, Dorothy Brown; fur babies, Annie and Buttons. Jim was a 20 year disabled Army Veteran, having served in Korea and Vietnam eras. He enjoyed family reunions in Westview Kentucky, where his mom and dad were from. After retiring from the Army he worked at the DuPont Chemical Plant for over 10 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved people and never met a stranger.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara Norton; children, James E Norton (Gayle), Choyia L Sharp (Paul); grandchildren, Christopher Lee Norton (Leslie), Deanna Verduin (Kurt); great-grandchildren, Alaina and Colton; sister, Lola F West; his beloved fur baby, Eric; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be private with care of the family being provided by Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions East Louisville Chapel located at 235 Juneau Drive.
