James J. Norris, Jr.

October 7, 1930 — October 4, 2017

James Jerome "Jimmy" Norris, 86 of Louisville, KY, passed away on October 4, 2017. He was a faithful member and usher of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. James began his career with Ehler's Dairy as a milkman and later retired as an executive for them. He was a former President of NICRA. James enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He was a talented woodworker and often entered his works in the Kentucky State Fair.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Stella Mae Norris; son, David M. Norris; daughter-in-law, Cheryl S. (Link) Norris and grandson, James J. Norris, IV.

James is survived by his children, James Jerome Norris, III, Kevin A.(Terri) Norris, Timothy D. (Cindy) Norris and COL (RET) John G. (Sandra) Norris; daughter-in-law, Charie Norris; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 8, 2017, from 2pm-7pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY). Mass will be held Monday, October 9, 2017, beginning at 10am at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, (3509 Taylor Blvd., Louisville, KY).

Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY.
