James Albert Nelson, 92, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 3, 2018. He retired from International Harvester and was a member of Dixie Valley Church of God.
James Albert was born on February 28, 1926, Big Clifty, Kentucky to the late James and Lydia (Mattingly) Nelson. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Jerlene, five brothers and two sisters. .
James Albert is survived by his children, Debbie Nelson, Dale R. (Deana) Nelson and Larry W. Nelson; and one brother Carl (Judy) Nelson; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren to cherish his memory.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). His family will also receive friends on Thursday from 10am- 1pm at Dixie Valley Church of God (4703 Quinn Drive, Louisville) with funeral services at 1pm at the church.
Burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville.
