James Robert Mitchell, 76, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019. Jim was Vice President at Shea Communications, however, he took just as much pride and was far happier in his latest career as a Tennessee goat farmer. He was a member of both Scottsville Christian Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana as well as the Second Street Church of Christ in Pulaski, Tennessee. Jim lived his life as a faithful servant of Christ, caring deeply for people, and living each day as an example of Christian love and obedience. He held a special place in his heart for the people of Honduras where he had traveled several times on mission trips. One of his greatest passions was for the unborn. His deepest desire was to rescue millions of innocent babies each year by seeing an end to abortion.
He was born on August 8, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to Loyd and Geneva (Edlin) Mitchell. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his Son, Todd Mitchell; Brother, Bill Mitchell; and Sisters, Donna Grant and Kathy Lindemier.
