James Louis "Louie" McGee , 82, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2019. Louie retired from Ford after 29 years of employment. He was an outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish with his grandson, Jackson and Big Ronnie and Little Ronnie. Louie was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He was born on August 8, 1937 in Bardstown , Kentucky to James and Mary McGee. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his grandsons, Brandon Summers and Justin Summers; and six siblings.
Louie is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy McGee, daughters, Sheila (David) Summers, Lisa (Steve) Whitus and Marcia (Keith) Satterley; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jim) Clark, Jackson Stillwell, Leah (Ryan) Lahaie; great-grandchildren; Martin Spencer, Chloe Howard, Hannah Summers, Taylor Mathenia, Alivia Lahaie, Blaine Summers and Madison Summers; step-great-grandchildren Mackinzee Pruitt and Braydon Pruitt; siblings, Shirley Catron, Ann Jenkins, Clarice O'Brien and Tom McGee
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY.
The family requests that contributions in Louie's memory be made to Alzheimer's Association of Louisville, 6100 Dutchmans Ln. # 401, Louisville, KY 40205
