James Mark Staser

June 15, 1950 — August 19, 2015

James Mark Staser, 65, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Jimmy retired from the Floyd County Road Dept., loved being outdoors and was also an avid fisherman.

He was born on June 15, 1950 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Louis P., II and Annetta L. (Juliot) Staser. Jimmy was also preceded in death by his daughter, Alexia Hack; siblings, Donna McKnight, Mary Louise Paul, Louis "Pete" Staser, III.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda (Quinn) Staser; children, Benita McNew (Kurt), James L. Staser (Kelly); siblings, Barbara Hoskins (Jerry), Charles Staser (Mary Anne), Mary Delaney, Helen Paragin, Robert Staser; grandchildren, Baylah and Vann Staser.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 6 PM on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) and on Monday after 11 AM. His Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery in New Albany.

Contributions in Jimmy's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (701 W. Muhammad Ali Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40203).
