James Mann, 89, of Mount Washington, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020.
He was born on September 21, 1930 in Affinity, West Virginia to the late James and Inez (McKenzie) Mann. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Jane Mann, siblings Kathleen Lilly and Curtis D. Mann.
James attended Shady Springs High School, after high school he enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served our country aboard the U.S.S. Missouri. He had many hobbies including working on classic cars, playing with his animals, never met a stranger and was very well loved by all who knew him.
James is survived by his children, Aurthur Mann, James D. (Carol) Mann , Jr., Deborah Lynn Mann, grandchildren Courtnay, Kevin, Brenda, Joshua, Caleb, Erin, Skye, Jordan, three great-grandchildren Colton, Corra and Christian.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 1:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
The family requests that contributions in James's memory be made to Bullitt County Humane Society.
