James Louis West

June 23, 1947 — March 4, 2016

James Louis "Wild Wild West", 68, passed away on March 4, 2016, after a short battle with cancer. He retired from Derby City Tank Wash and was a member of Straight Axel Car Club. He had a passion for building hot rods and racing them. He enjoyed going to swap meets and car shows. Jimmy was a proud and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvon and Augusta West.

Jimmy is survived by his children, Timmy West, Tracy Kelley, Eric West and Tammy (Eric) West; grandchildren, Shay, Justin, Sasha, Gage, Josh, Devin, Madelyn, Koby and Sara; great-grand daughter, Mia; brother, Bitsy (Pattie) West; sister, Linda West and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 10, 2016, from 2pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of Jimmy's life will be Friday, March 11, 2016, beginning at 11am at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home SW.

Burial will be at Cave Hill Cemetery (701 Baxter Avenue, Louisville, KY)
