James "Buck" M. Lax Jr., 65, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 5, 2018.

Buck was born on March 5, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James and Betty (Barricklow) Lax. He was also preceded in death by his son, Keith D. Lax and a sister, Jennifer M. Byrd.

Buck is survived by his children, James Lax III, Makenzie Gore,and Candice Millikan; his sister, Sue French; his girl friend of 23 years, Darlene Cooper; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other friends and relatives to cherish his memory.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). His Funeral Ceremony will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
