James Ernest Lawless Sr.

James Ernest Lawless Sr., 86, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. James lived at American Village and was known to everyone as "Pops", and was a retired tree and landscape gardener.

He was born on July 15, 1932 in Jefferson County, Tennessee to George and Viola Lawless. He is preceded in death by his, Wife, Dorothy, parents, Daughter, Juanita Lawless, Sister, Donna Moore, and Brother, Donnie Lawless.

James is survived by his, Sons, James Lawless, Jr., Jerry Lawless, Joe Lawless, Jack Lawless, John Lawless, Jeff Lawless, and Carl Lawless, Daughters, Joyce Davis, Janice DeWitt, and Judy Shelton, Sisters, Brenda Highley, Dorothy Gibbons, Rose Rubino, and Mary Horner, Brothers, Leroy Lawless, Richard Lawless, David Lawless, and Curtis Lawless, and a host of Grandchildren and great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 17, and 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday February 18, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of his life will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
