James C. Key Sr., 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021. James was a loving husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle, and friend. He worked at Kentucky Trailer as a machine operator for 43 years. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids. He always loved riding motorcycle every chance he got. James will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
He was born on July 29, 1951 in Glasgow, Kentucky to Clay and Maedell (Smith) Key. He is preceded in death by his Father, Clay Earl Key, Mother, Maedell Key, Son, James C. Key, Jr., siblings, Donna French, and Wayne Heflin.
James is survived by his loving Wife of 51 years, Sara Key; Daughter, Samantha (Daniel) Wombles; Grandchildren, Tabatha (Brandon) Burk, Hunter Wombles, Chris (Rachel) Wombles, Danielle Wombles, Jordan Wombles, Cameron Wombles, and Kirsten Wombles; Great-Grandson, Mason Burk and 3 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings, Marilyn (Percy) Nelson, Jerry Key, Lisa Rojas, and Linda (Mike) Durray; Furbabies, Princess and Tootles; Bonus Daughter, Sara (Miguel) Frias; Bonus Grandchildren, Natalee Frias and Jasmine Frias as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery - Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.
