James Kenneth Keyes

James Kenneth Keyes, age 77, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016. He was a graduate of Eastern High School and Hanover College where he earned his Master's Degree. Jim was a special education teacher and supported Native American communities and development of their children. He was a writer and poet, and had a book of poetry published.

Jim is survived by his children, Becky Keyes (David Litzelswope) and David Keyes (Traci); grandchildren, Julia and Olivia, Abbi and Jordan; brother, Jerry Keyes (Carole); and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Funeral ceremony will be 11am Wednesday, April 20th at the funeral home, with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
