James "Jimmy"Stanley Hannon

February 19, 1954 — March 24, 2016

James "Jimmy" Stanley Hannon, 62, passed away on March 24, 2016. He worked at Temple Steel in Chicago, IL before moving to Louisville to be close to his family. Jimmy's favorite pastime was singing Karaoke with his friends, playing Bingo and enjoyed trying his luck at the lottery. With such a heart of gold, Jim was always helping others and putting their needs before his own.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Hannon; the mother of his children, Kim Hannon and brother, Ronald Hannon.

Jim is survived by his children, James Edward Hannon and Christina Marie Turner; step-children, Larry and Billy Stith; grandchildren, Brianna, Lara, Sarah, Amber, Austin, Jacob, Brandon, Zack, Haley, Chasity, Destinee and Alex; great-grandchildren, Kiley and Paislee; brother, Michael Hannon; sisters, Mary Kimbro and CairAnn Love and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 10am-1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) with a celebration of Jim's life beginning at 1pm with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery.
