James "Jim" Alan Westerfield

James "Jim" Alan Westerfield, 73, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and Papaw to his beloved grandchildren. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, biking, and traveling. Jim dedicated more than 35 years of service at IPL as a technician where he cherished the friendships he made. He had a contagious laugh and smile that could light up a room. Most importantly, Jim's family was his most prized treasure. He will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on February 13, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert and Lois (Buescher) Westerfield. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Westerfield; mother, Lois Westerfield; sister-in-law, Linda Westerfield; and beloved granddaughter, Darien Westerfield.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Corann L. Westerfield; children, Aaron Westerfield, Jason (Anna) Littlefield, Bethany (Troy) Myers, Jon (Margeaux) Littlefield; sister, Kathryn (Jerry) Locke; brother, Robert Westerfield; grandchildren, Jaden Westerfield, Zander Jackson, Bryce Jackson, Nolan Littlefield, Paxton Littlefield, Teagan Littlefield, Tilly Littlefield; great-granchildren, Ivory Dennis and Abel Dennis; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville, 235 Juneau Drive. A memorial service in honor of his life will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Louisville Chapel.
