James Darrell Embry

James "Jim" Darrell Embry, 72, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Jim enjoyed rebuilding street rods, riding motorcycles, traveling, antique car shows, spending time with family and friends and especially his grandchildren.

He was born on May 1, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Deboise Embry. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Embry; three sisters, Michelle Newman, Daphne Oliver, and Angie Embry; and brother, Michael Thomas.

Jim is survived by his loving three children, Shannon (Eric) Curkendoll, Alana Morton, and Kevin (Pam) Threlkel; four grandchildren, Amber Curkendoll, Sarah Curkendoll, Jordan Threlkel, and Thomas Morton; great granddaughter, Charlotte; fiancé, Pam Gaines; one sister, Debbie Taylor; four brothers, Tony (Martha) Embry, Scott (Amy) Embry, Shane (Cathy) Embry, Jason (Rian) Embry; several neices, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.

The family requests that contributions in Jim's memory be made to American Legion Post 204 in Sellersburg, Indiana.
