James Carl Glenn

James Carl Glenn, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. James loved the Lord and new his bible front to back. James was a jack of all trades. He was a good mechanic, he would work on any car brought to him. James was kind hearted to everyone and he loved hard. He would make sure he called his family every Sunday, just to check on them. A true protector. 

He was born on October 28, 1955 in Rama, Alabama to Nelson and Katie (Dixon) Glenn. He is preceded in death by his Father, Nelson Glenn, Sr., Mother, Katie Mae Glenn, Sister, Brenda Glenn, and Nephews, Jerry Smith, Antwan Thornton & Alston Walters.

James is survived by his Sons, Jason Cleveland and James (Mackenzie) Glenn, Jr.; 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings, Gloria Glenn, Sarah Clayton, Nelson (Bernice) Glenn, Jr., Faye (Maurice) Smith, Elaine Glenn, Sheila (Greg) Adams, and Anthony (Michelle) Glenn, Aunt Lizzy Bell & Aunt Alzina Patterson of Rama, AL, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
