James Gaddie

April 28, 1972 — February 5, 2020

James Gaddie, 47, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. He was born on April 28, 1972 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Doris Moore and the late, Tony Gaddie, Sr. In his free time, James loved to fish, cook and play video games. He was the bass drummer for Iroquois High School Marching Band. He was a devoted companion, a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, and a loyal friend.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tony Gaddie, Sr.; a brother, Tony Binion; grandmothers, Bonnie Chisolm and Beatrice Smith; and a grandfather, Roosevelt Smith.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved fiance, Shavonda James; his mother, Doris (Julius) Moore; his siblings, Tony (Sabrina James) Gaddie, Jr., Tirisha Clemmons, Larico Gaddie, Uranus Dyson, and NaKisha Gaddie, a son, Jaylen James; daughters, Wayneisha James and Shavontay Denton; 8 grandkids; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate James' life will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. The family will accept guests for visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 am-1:00 pm prior to the service.
