James Oliver Ferebee Jr.

James Oliver Ferebee Jr. was born on June 12, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to James Oliver Ferebee Sr. and Sallie Frances Magalene Greer Ferebee, who preceded him in death. James Oliver Ferebee Jr. passed away peacefully in his home on February 24, 2020, in the arms of his loving wife of 32 1/2 years, Pamela Jean Ferebee. He was the oldest of 6 children.

James accepted Christ at an early age. He graduated from Max Hayes High School in 1969. James went on to achieve a multitude of certifications in robotics, building computers, electrical technician, and working on televisions at his place of business called 3 Star Television.

James enjoyed building race cars, dancing, playing the organ, singing, and enjoying his family. He was a member of Everlasting Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio where he sang in the choir and played the organ for the church.
From his first marriage to Louise Blade Ferebee was born Jennifer Marcel Ferebee Thomas (Robert Jr.) and James Oliver Ferebee III. He also had a son Detwaine Gantt (Natalie) while in Ohio.

James met the love of his life, Pamela Jean, in 1982 and was united in Holy Matrimony on June 13, 1987. Out of this union came Christopher Kyle Ferebee (Marie) and Justin Blake Ferebee (Megan) in Louisville, Kentucky, where they reside.

James was employed at Lincoln Electric Company as an Electrician in Cleveland for 23 years, Ford Kentucky Truck Plant for 14 ½ years, and owned his own Real Estate business for 11 ½ years in Louisville, Kentucky.

James was such a loving Husband, Father, Uncle, Brother, Grandfather, Cousin and Friend. He was a role model and inspiration to all who knew him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving wife of 32 ½ years, Pamela Jean Ferebee; five children, Jennifer Marcel Ferebee Thomas (Robert Jr.), James Oliver Ferebee III, Detwaine Gantt (Natalie), Christopher Kyle Ferebee (Marie), Justin Blake Ferebee (Megan); 12 grandchildren, Kassidi, Kaiden, Ayrianna, Dezmond, Emerick, James IV, Ethan, Keyra, Cameron, D.J., Darren, John; 1 great granddaughter; five siblings Bishop Ronald Ferebee Sr. (Gloria), Lavelle R. Ferebee, Bernarr D. Ferebee (Sharolyn), Juanita L. Reid (Richard), Juan C. Ferebee (Deane), and an honorary sister, Janet Gibson, which made him an uncle to 18. He was Godfather to his niece, Logan D. Ferebee.

The family requests donations to be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
