James Gaylen "Jamey" Edwards, 52, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local #110 and Dover Chapel General Baptist Church in Louisville. Jamey enjoyed spending time at Bushman's Lake and watching Dallas perform.
He was born on November 30, 1968, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Betty (Sandefur) Edwards. Jamey is survived by his wife, Tammy (Haueter) Edwards; son, Dallas Edwards; siblings, Charles "Rick" Edwards (Ruth), Esther Tyler (David), and Ruth Whitaker (Richard); and many nieces and nephews.
A reception of family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with cremation to follow according to Jamey's wishes. Contributions in his memory may be made to Shively Area Ministries (4415 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY 40216).
