James Edington, 84 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on September 27, 2018. He was a very caring husband and father and he will be greatly missed.

James was born in Shelby County on July 16, 1934 to the late Charles and Carrie Edington.

He is preceded in death by his son, Terry Edington, his parents, and his siblings.

James is survived by his Wife of 65 years, Fannie Lee (Geoghegan) Edington; daughter, Connie Quire (George), sons, James "Jim" Edington (Vicki) , Steve Edington (Anita), Tim Edington (Stacie), his daughter-in-law, Marilyn Edington and his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He retired from Whayne Supply Company after 31 years.

Visitation will be on Monday October 1st, 2018 beginning 10 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive, Louisville) His funeral ceremony will begin at 12:00pm with a burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association. (225 N Michigan Avenue floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601)
