James Dunn

September 21, 1959 — June 28, 2021

James Dunn, 61, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021. James was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all. He loved his family with all he had. You would never see James sad or angry because he always had a go with the flow look on life. James was a die hard UK fan and never missed a game. He was a true artist at heart and could draw anything you put in front of him. He was a jack of all trades and he could build or do anything he put his mind to. James will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor and pleasure of knowing him.

He was born on September 21, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky to Finley and Alberta (Thompson) Dunn. He is preceded in death by his father, Finley Dunn; wife, Theresa Dunn; grandson, Trayshawn "Tray" Dunn; siblings, Teddy Dunn and Robin Dunn.

James is survived by his loving family, mother, Alberta Combs; children, James Dean Dunn, Jr., Misty Dawn Dunn, and Edward "Bubba" Whitworth; grandchildren, Emily Ann Ballback, Desarae Dunn, Aubree Dunn, Gabrielle Dunn, Bryson Dunn, Eliasia Allison, Talia Dunn, Laniyah Dunn, Kahri'auna Jones, and Mar'kyjah Jones; great-grandchildren, Amir and Knox; brother, Chris (Nancy) Dunn; ex-wife, Diane Railey. As well as a host of family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

The family has decided to have all services private.
