James David Pollard Sr.

September 23, 1945 — March 22, 2016

James David Pollard, 70, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on September 23, 1945 in Adair, Kentucky to Twyman and Vela (Hoots) Pollard. James retired from General Electric Company after many years. He enjoyed being outdoors, mowing the yard, along with spending time with his family.

Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda (Sizemore) Pollard, brother, Roy Pollard. He is survived by his loving children, James D. Pollard Jr (Renee), Deneva Tanner (Delbert), siblings, Sue Shimmerhorn, Faye Pollard, Rhule Pollard, 7 grandchildren ;David Allen , Hunter Blake, and Kaitlin McKenzie Pollard, Rodney Glenn Waynescott, Jessica Potter, John Franklin Waldrews, and Amber Helin; 3 great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Pollard and Mckenzie and Addison Potter.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016, from 3:30 to 8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). His Funeral Service will be on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1:30 PM with entombment to follow at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
