James Christopher Cox, 41, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018, as the result of an automobile accident. He was a mechanic/handyman, capable of fixing anything. James enjoyed a number of things that included being outdoors, gardening, taking pictures, and also riding his motorcycle.
He was born on November 15, 1976, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Joseph, Jr., and Rebecca (Roberts) Cox. Along with his parents, James is survived by his daughter, Synthia Carpenter (Dylan); sisters, Christina McKim (Seth) and Sarah Keinonen (Dave Carey); grandmother, Irene Harrison; and grandchildren, Raelynn and Zayne Carpenter.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse Roberts and Joseph, Sr., and Mary Cox.
Cremation was chosen and a reception of family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
