James M. Colwell

James M. Colwell, 88, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026. He was born on February 7, 1938 in Vicco, Kentucky to the late Brack and Versie (Combs) Colwell.

James is survived by his sons, Kenny (Tammy) Colwell, and James Allen Colwell; sisters, Rita (Forest Lee) Newsom, and Dawn Cavallo; grandchildren, James Paul (Cora) Cowell, Austin Wayne Colwell (Sierra Graham), and Samantha Carrie Colwell; and his great grandchildren; Isaiah Charles Colwell, Scarlet Colwell and Rhyatt Wayne Colwell.

James was a proud US Army veteran worked as a journeyman machinist, enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen with a memorial gathering in James' honor at a later date.
